P.S.: I recently dabbled in writing a television series treatment for fun.
If you liked “Daisy Jones & the Six,” you may enjoy my spin-off, “Ladies of the Canyon.” It picks up where the original story leaves off in 1998. Julia Dunne (Billy and Camila Dunne’s daughter) learns her documentary about DJATS is getting picked up for broadcast by a major cable channel akin to VH1. This, in turn, fuels a major reunion tour for the ’70s supergroup that’s engineered by Julia’s fiancé. Meanwhile, Simone Jackson and Bernie open a second “Haven” club in Los Angeles and enlist Julia’s friends–an entertainment lawyer and a computer-savvy publicist–and Simone’s recording engineer niece to help promote it. Their stories move forward as they navigate their respective careers in the entertainment industry…especially once Julia’s rock promoter boyfriend convinces the original band to regroup for a nostalgia-fueled reunion tour and new album.
